Geomembranes are impermeable synthetic liners used for containment applications. The production typically involves:
Material Preparation – High-quality polymers (HDPE, LDPE, PVC, EPDM, etc.) are selected and mixed with additives (UV stabilizers, plasticizers, carbon black).
Extrusion/Calendering –
Extrusion: Melted polymer is forced through a die to form a continuous sheet.
Calendering: For PVC/TPO, the material is rolled into thin sheets under heat.
Cooling & Smoothing – The sheet is cooled and passed through rollers for uniform thickness.
Surface Texturing (Optional) – Some geomembranes are embossed for enhanced friction.
Quality Testing – Thickness, tensile strength, and puncture resistance are verified.
Cutting & Rolling – Sheets are trimmed to size and rolled for shipment.
